2013 Project 52, Week 35: Central Park Ball Fields

Week 35: August 27 - September 2

One of my favorite things about Central Park is the abundance of softball fields.* I stopped by the Heckscher Ball Fields last weekend and snapped a few shots. Wouldn't it be incredible to play a game of softball with the Midtown Manhattan skyline as your backdrop?

* - (I'd thought about looking for a softball league to join, but I (a) never got around to it, (b) didn't know where even to look, and (c) am entirely not coordinated or athletic enough to be useful to anyone's team. But I always like to stop to watch whenever I pass by a game in progress on the fields. And the thought has occurred to me to find a team, if nothing else, to practice shooting softball photos with. Next year.)
