Week 31: July 30 - August 5
For the past few weeks, Sharon and I have been training for a 5K run. It's kind of fun, really- I am coming off of a stretch last year where I trained lifting weights several times a week, so it's fun to have something to look forward to a few times a week (even if it is running). What helps keep us going is our "track" for 5K training- the lovely Jackie Onassis Reservoir in Central Park.
During our training runs in the evenings, we get an eyeful of the West Side/Central Park West (well, and East Side/Central Park East) "skyline". And I have been thinking of setting up for a long exposure facing the West Side for one week's Project selection. This was the weekend I cashed in that shot I've been keeping in my back pocket...

I wonder if there's a way I wonder how you get the long exposure night shots to be darker? I like how these shots came out, but the truth of the matter is that the sky wasn't bright blue when these photos were taken, of course. It was dusk. Something for me to look up. Anyways, here's a few more views of the Upper East and West Sides:
