Wollman Rink

Before moving to New York, we visited a number of times: once for our first anniversary and many times after finding out that Sharon matched at Columbia. One of my fondest memories of one such trip was a visit to snow-covered Central Park and a whirl around Wollman Rink. We enjoyed it so thoroughly that Sharon snapped up a bunch of Christmas cards later that year with basically this same vantage in graphic form. I was trudging around Central Park this weekend and happily stumbled upon the rink again and tried to recreate the image, this version alive on a brisk late afternoon in front of the backdrop of the Upper East Side in February.
