The trouble with blogs is that, if you get busy, they tend to fade into the very back of your consciousness. Case in point.
--Our trip to Taiwan was a lot of fun. I'd like to put up some pictures sometime and to have a little time to recap it or remember some particular stories... I'd like to do it justice, and I can't do that with only five-to-ten minutes to spare like I do right now. It was a culturally eye-opening experience for BOTH Sharon and me, and as always, it was wonderful to reconnect with family I hadn't seen in two years.
--In other news, I've started another semester of grad school (last semester was technically my first). This is the make-or-break semester in that I haven't decided whether to get a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering yet; I am now enrolled in what UAB graciously calls the "Certificate in Power Systems", which is basically four power classes. I will need to decide by the end of this semester whether I want to pursue a full-on Master's in order to finish at the same time that Sharon graduates from med school.
--Lastly, we've gotten a new cat, as you may have read in Sharon's blog. It's true. We meant to get Millie a little buddy from the beginning, but seeing as to how rough the two of these are playing and also how much bigger Millie is than Fuzz (and that's saying something, since Millie's pretty small anyways), we perhaps should have gotten two cats together at the start. Oh well, life lessons.
--I have apparently acquired my very own blog troll in the form of my friend, Andrew. He informs me that I should update more. So, Andrew, this is me throwing you a bone.
Until next time...
another way to look at it is that when you do post infrequently, the excitement level on our part is that much higher.
